Krauss song added to new movie soundtrack
CMT.com reports that Alison Krauss has recorded a new song titled “Lay My Burden Down,” which will be featured on the soundtrack of an upcoming movie, Get Low. (You can watch the trailer here.)
Get Low stars Robert Duvall, Bill Murray, Sissy Spacek and Lucas Black and portrays the true story of Felix “Bush” Breazeale, a shut-in who plans and attends his own “funeral party” in 1938.
Alison Krauss’ song was written by Aoife O’Donovan. Instrumentation was provided by Jerry Douglas on Dobro; Dan Tyminski on mandolin; Barry Bales on bass; and Bryan Sutton on guitar.
